During a visit to Oahu last fall I had the opportunity to tour the iconic “Pink Palace of the Pacific”. The Royal Hawaiian was one of the first hotels in Honolulu and has played host to numerous dignitaries and movie stars. The famous pink stucco facade can’t be missed from it’s prime location on Waikiki Beach!
Luxury: If you’re in search of a luxurious stay on your visit to Honolulu – this is your place! The Royal Hawaiian has a Spanish style architecture and is furnished in a traditional decor with dark woods, beautiful fabrics and marble throughout. The rooms exude warmth and comfort with their bedding and touches of Hawaiian inspired touches.
Location, Location, Location: With one of the best spots on Waikiki Beach, you are steps away from the sand between your toes and riding the next wave during your surf lesson. You won’t get enough of the views… the Royal Hawaiian offers one of the best views of Diamond Head in Honolulu! Catch the colorful sunsets from your ocean view room, the beach or the outdoor bar area at the hotel. It’s also a short walk from numerous shops, restaurants and nightlife options.
An Oasis: With its lush gardens and many hidden terraces, it’s easy to find a quiet spot away from the hustle and bustle of the area surrounding the hotel. On my tour, many guests were enjoying the comfy rocking chairs that were spread throughout the property. During your stay you can enjoy treatments amidst tropical gardens at the hotel’s top ranked Abhasa Spa.
Clientele: This elegant hotel is the perfect place for couples, a girlfriends’ trip, a wedding or special event. Upon arrival, you’ll feel at ease with the Royal Hawaiian’s casual elegance and top notch, unpretentious service. If you’re traveling with children, this wouldn’t be my first recommendation for your stay in Honolulu. I didn’t see any kids during my extensive tour of the hotel and grounds
Luxury, location, history… you will love a stay at the Royal Hawaiian!
Until the next adventure – bon voyage!
