If you want to stay in the heart of the action on Waikiki beach – The Outrigger Waikiki is the place for you! During a tour of this hotel I discovered it’s a family friendly resort, is home to a prime Waikiki beachfront location and offers great dining and entertainment
1. Family Friendly
This is a terrific hotel for families! On site it offers activities for all ages; including lei making, hula lessons and surfing. Your stay also includes free admission to The Waikiki Aquarium which is a short taxi ride away (a fun thing to do in Honolulu – watching the jellyfish was my favorite!). With the pool, on site activities, and being on the beach your family will be entertained for days!
2. Location
The Outrigger is in a prime location on Waikiki Beach – with spectacular views of Diamond Head! From your room, you’re steps away from having your toes in the sand and swimming in the crystal clear waters. You’ll also be within walking distances of an abundance of shops and restaurants. If you desire an ocean view – be sure to steer clear of the partial ocean view rooms. After touring a few of those – you have a glimpse of the water, but mainly see buildings next door and other roof tops.
3. Dining/Entertainment
During your stay at the Outrigger Waikiki you don’t have to leave the resort for great food and entertainment. Day or night – Duke’s is a hotspot on Waikiki! During the day it’s a great spot to grab a drink at their bar and people watch. My daughter and I enjoyed dinner here one evening under the palm trees, while enjoying the ocean breeze. There’s often live music at Duke’s and if you’re a jazz fan – don’t miss performances at the Blue Note.
If you’re looking to stay on the beach in Waikiki, traveling with your family (or as a couple), and enjoy a laid back atmosphere – The Outrigger Waikiki is the perfect spot for you!
