Living in Colorado – with a casual, outdoor lifestyle – no one will ever accuse me of being a fashionista! 😉 I do enjoy kicking it up a notch and getting fancy during evenings on a cruise. I’ve found that many of my favorite brands I wear daily – carry over well when traveling (most of them are available in men’s and women’s). There are also the accessories and electronics I don’t travel without.
No paid endorsements here – these are some of my favorite travel brands I recommend from personal experience while traveling.
Shoes
As they take up so much space – it’s always the dilemma of trying not to pack too many shoes!
Fitflop: This is my go to brand for daily wear and traveling shoes! Slippers, sneakers, sandals flip flops… even cozy winter boots – I’ve got ’em all. You can sightsee all day – blister and pain free!
Olukai: For your next beach or warm weather vacation – don’t hesitate to buy Olukai. They have ventured beyond their original flip flops to other styled shoes as well (but their flip flops remain a personal fave!).
Oboz: If your travel plans include Alaska, Iceland, Africa or a winter ski trip – these are the shoes or boots for you! They have the best traction and will keep you dry. I discovered them when I first moved to the mountains and they are the best hiking shoes (and winter boots) I’ve ever owned! Last year I tried a different brand for summer hiking and have regretted it ever since.
Electronics
I try to pare down the amount of electronics I travel with… but some are still a necessity.
Google Chrome: Even though I’m an Apple gal – I prefer to travel with a Google Chrome. It’s lightweight and inexpensive so I don’t worry about my pricier MacBook when I’m on the go.
Apple AirTags: I’ve been traveling with AirTags for the past several years. My husband I used them to track our checked luggage with the airlines, carry on bags, my purse and his camera equipment. It’s an extra form of security that’s well worth it. As with any Apple device – it’s an easy set up!
Kindle: I’m a convert… after years to being attached to books and the feel of paper – I now am not sure how I lived without an e-reader! 😉 It’s so much more convenient and lighter traveling without the weight of books. Not to mention all the books at my fingertips (I’m a big fan of the library Libby app)!
Accessories
Don’t forget a hat, sunscreen, and bag for your next trip.
Sherpani: In the past few years I’ve upgraded my travel bags (I always travel with a crossbody purse style) to include RFID anti-theft technology. Sherpani has great selections for this and are perfect for traveling.
Elta: Hands down there’s no better facial sunscreen! I’ve been using it for years and my face is naked without it. 😉 It’s lightweight, soaks in (my hubby even likes it), and not a hint of greasy feeling. For an inexpensive alternative – I also use Trader Joe’s Daily Facial Sunscreen (dupe for Supergoop).
Pistil: Hats are a staple in my closet. Pistil is my go to brand for sun hats, beanies, and trucker hats. During the hot and sunny Mediterranean and Middle East trips I’ve ventured on the past few years – my Pistil straw hat is my best friend! It makes numerous appearances in my travel pics… and I also recently tracked down a spare (Pistil – please bring back this style!). 🙂
Hope you enjoyed reading about my favorite travel brands – happy shopping!
Until the next adventure – bon voyage!
