Pros:
1. Location
Being a half block off the strip – this is by far the best feature of this hotel! You’re within a few minutes walk to the Bellagio fountains and in the heart of the action on the strip. Being across the street from Planet Hollywood – this is a nice air conditioned shortcut and also a good spot for shopping or grabbing a bite to eat.
2. Value
As we embarked on this road trip fairly last minute and needed a hotel for part of Memorial Day weekend – it’s a very good value for the prime location on the Las Vegas strip (and being a holiday weekend).
3. Bonvoy
Being a part of Marriott’s extensive network of hotel properties – you can collect or use your Bonvoy points. You’ll also be able to utilize the perks of your membership status at the Grand Chateau.
4. Valet
The Marriott Grand Chateau only offers valet parking and it’s a steal at $15/day. They had numerous valets working and the service was speedy! If you’re flying into Vegas – you definitely don’t need a car, but we were on a driving trip and needed the parking. We left our car parked the entire stay and took Uber a couple times when we traveled off the strip.

5. Rooms
Since this Marriott is one of their vacation resorts, the rooms are large in size and include a kitchenette (even though I don’t want to see any part of a kitchen when I’m on vacation – I realize this is a positive for many people). They are also very quiet, we enjoyed nice views of the city, have comfy beds, and the rooms are dark to get a good night’s sleep!
Cons:
1. Pools
For the large size of this property – both the pools are very small. The adults only pool on the rooftop barely holds a handful of people. The “larger” pool on the 4th floor is also not very big and note you will see kids in this pool and area. There’s a large screen and bar/grill – but nothing to rave about.
2. Dated
The overall feel of the hotel is a nice atmosphere… but a bit tired, it could use a little refresh in the public areas. The rooms are also in a need of an update and modernizing.
3. Rooms
Even though I’ve also included the rooms in the pro section – they also have a few negatives. Unfortunately there isn’t room service (food delivery) available at this hotel, room cleaning is only available once a week on Fridays, and they leave a list of “suggested” things to do before you leave (such as taking out the trash, stripping the bed sheets, etc…). I’m all about leaving a room tidy upon checkout – but these recommendations seemed a bit too farand leaves a bit of a bad taste of the service at this hotel.
I hope the review of my stay at the Marriott Grand Chateau in Vegas is helpful when considering your trip here!
Until the next adventure – bon voyage
