Pros
1. Location
This is the biggest pro of the Memphis Sheraton! It’s walkable to the Mississippi River, Lorraine Motel/National Civil Rights Museum, and Beale Street.
2. Rooms
Compared to some new hotels – the rooms are very large in size. We enjoyed our corner room with the king size bed and river/city views.

3. Restaurant
We ate breakfast two days here and enjoyed the friendly service, easy lobby location, and the fresh food choices (they make a great avocado toast!).
4. Conventions
Connected to Resonant Convention Center, it’s the best place to stay if you’re here on business or for a conference. That was the majority of the clientele at this Sheraton.
5. Valet
After the big hassle of the valet service at our Marriott property in St. Louis, we were thankful to have an easy and speedy valet system at this Sheraton.
Cons
1. Keys
The mobile key wasn’t working via my request through the app or at the front desk. I know some smaller (and/or older?) Marriott properties don’t utilize this functionality, but for a hotel of this size – it should be standard.
2. Decor
Overall, it’s a nice hotel… but it can definitely use a refresh with a more modern decor. It has a bit dated feel to it in the rooms and lobby area.
If you’re in Memphis for a short visit – the Sheraton Memphis Downton Hotel is a solid choice.
Until the next adventure – bon voyage!
