Morning
Start your morning at Konvene Coffee – I recommend the burrito veggie breakfast bowl and cinnamon roll. House made food and friendly service! It’s a short walk to the Space Needle from here – where you’ll start your day in Seattle. Mornings are the best times for clear Mt. Ranier views and make sure to pre purchase your tickets to avoid the lines.

Afternoon
After you’ve finished your tour of the Space Needle – head to the iconic Pike Place. While wandering through the stalls – don’t miss the famous fish throwing at the Pike Place Fish Market and grab a snack at Daily Dozen Doughnuts. I suggest the cinnamon and sugar mini donuts!
From Pike Place – you can visit the original Starbucks, wander Post Alley, take in the harbor area views, and walk to Pioneer Square. Don’t miss the gum wall in Post Alley (yes, as in chewing gum!) and pack your patience, as there’s a line to enter Starbucks to get your caffeine fix.

Evening
One of our evenings in Seattle we met friends at Duke’s Seafood on Lake Union. Beautiful lake views and a nice outdoor seating area.
I highly suggest you venture to Kerry Park to watch the sunset – fantastic views overlooking the city and harbor! It’s also a great spot to get your steps in, as the Queen Anne neighborhood has numerous choices of shops and restaurants.
Misc Tips
The light rail to and from the airport and downtown is an easy transfer option. It’s inexpensive, easy to purchase the tickets, and a short walk to the airport terminal. It has several different drop off/pick up locations in Seattle. Ubers and taxis are expensive on this route and it’s also very congested with traffic.
Early November is a great time to visit Seattle… you’ll avoid the crowds of summer and the autumn leaves color the city (keep in mind it’s the start of their rainier season)!
Seattle is such a terrific destination… it deserves more than 24 hours, but these are my recommended highlights if you’re limited on time. If you’re departing on a cruise to Alaska from Seattle – I suggest arriving 2 nights prior to your departure, to have a full day to experience this vibrant city!
Until the next adventure – bon voyage!
