During the winter of 2022 my daughter and I ventured to Montreal for a quick mother/daughter trip. Canada was still on a partial lockdown with Covid restrictions, so we weren’t able to take advantage of all the amenities the Marriott Montreal Chateau Champlain has to offer. Even with limited offerings and traveling during a snowstorm – we still really enjoyed our stay! 🙂 These are 3 reasons to stay at this lovely hotel.
1. Location
Always one of the most important things about a hotel! With a downtown location – it’s near shopping, restaurants and the Bell Centre. It’s also walkable to many popular areas; such as Old Montreal, the riverfront and Mt. Royal. During our visit I took an Uber to the top of Mt. Royal to take advantage of the nearby hiking trails and was able to walk back to the hotel. My daughter and I trekked in the snow to explore Old Town and the riverfront area. Lastly, the airport is an easy 20 minute commute.
2. Rooms
You know my #1 priority in a hotel room – comfy beds! My daughter and I had the best sleep in our room with 2 queen beds. With the arched windows – the city views are fantastic (request a high floor room)! I also appreciated the wood floors throughout the room, it felt extra clean!
3. Staff
The staff was some of the most friendly and accommodating I’ve encountered in a hotel the past few years! Since there were still lingering Covid restrictions during our stay – they were helpful with their recommendations of testing locations and restaurant/delivery suggestions.
The Marriott Montreal Chateau Champlain is the perfect spot for a couples retreat, girls or guys’ weekend, a city stay, or celebratory trip. I also had clients celebrate a milestone birthday in Montreal at this hotel last year and they loved it!
